• Money Management Program
• Nursing Home Ombudsman Program
• Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council
• Elder Nutrition Program
Money Management Program
Established in 1991, Money Management Program volunteers help low-income elders over the age of 60 manage their day-to-day finances. Trained volunteers go to elders' homes and help with bill paying, reconciling bank statements, and working out monthly budgets for elders. All transactions are carefully monitored to ensure that funds are handled properly. If you would like to become a Money Management volunteer, contact BayPath's Money Management Coordinator at (508) 573-7200.
Nursing Home Ombudsman Program
The Nursing Home Ombudsman Program trains and certifies volunteers to investigate and help resolve concerns of elderly residents of long-term care facilities. Ombudsman also provide information and refer nursing and rest home residents and their families to community resources. If you would like to become an Ombudsman volunteer, contact BayPath's Ombudsman director at (508) 573-7200, ext. 235.
Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council
BayPath's Area Agency on Aging is looking for new members to join the Advisory Council to advocate on behalf of older people on issues that affect their lives. Meeting approximately five-six times per year, the Council is a voluntary group of citizens mandated by the Older Americans Act to provide information, guidance, advice and support to the Area Agency on Aging to plan, develop, coordinate and administer services, provided to area elders. The Council fulfills this obligation by working through the BayPath Board of Directors, the Area Agency staff, its own committees and community leadership. If you wish to learn more about the Area Agency on Aging or may be interested in attending one of their meetings, please call: Janet Cunningham at (508) 573-7200.
Elder Nutrition Program
The Elder Nutrition Program has openings for volunteer drivers Monday through Friday. Volunteers deliver pre-packaged meals along a specified route. Your assistance makes a difference! Please call: the Elder Nutrition Program Director at 508-573-7200.
