Elder Housing Options
In cooperation with the local housing authority, BayPath operates one congregate housing site located in Natick. Congregate housing is an arrangement of private apartments with shared living and activity space. The Housing coordinator arranges supportive services when needed, as well as plan educational and social activities which are important to the well-being of the residents.
In conjunction with the Framingham Housing Authority, BayPath operates supportive housing at Memorial House in Framingham. Supportive Housing provides an assisted-living-like environment while maintaining an elders' independence. A Personal Care Attendant is on the premises 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist any tenant with an emergency. A Supportive Housing Coordinator is also on site daily. Memorial House has private apartments with shared living and activity space; supportive services such as housekeeping and personal care are also available.
Recognizing the growing need for affordable housing options, BayPath co-sponsored with The Community Builders, Inc. of Boston, Mission Springs Elder Housing in Holliston. Mission Springs opened in the summer of 1997. The 75 units of supported housing are now fully occupied and BayPath provides an on-site coordinator and supportive services that may be needed.
